Silver Jubilee Year
The year 1985 marked our Silver Jubilee and celebrated on 17 June 1985. During the year, our club started another club, for the first time, Rotary Club of Adyar inaugurated on 19th February 1985.
A number of activities marked the grand celebration and the major one, RELF’85, Rotary Electrical and Electronics Fair was conducted and resulted in a substantial surplus. The Silver Jubilee celebration was spearheaded by the then President B Gopalaswamy, Secretary R V Rajan, PP A NSrinivasa Rao (Chairman, Silver Jubilee Committee) and Rtn. Imbichammad, Chairman – RELF’85. Every Rotarian and Ann of our club gave their full support in making the Silver Jubilee a great success.

Vintage 60
The year 2000 saw a unique project, Vintage60, in international fellowship and co-operation. Rotary clubs worldwide born in 1960 were invited to celebrate the new millennium with us at Madras South. Ten Rotary clubs from Switzerland, Sweden, Argentina, UK, Australia, Malaysia and France plus a Rotarian from Australia spent a week in Chennai as guests of our club. Again in the year 2020, four Rotary clubs from USA, Austria and Netherlands spent four days in Chennai as guests of our Club.

Golden Jubilee Year
2009-10 was our Golden Jubilee and we celebrated it in style. Under the leadership of our Golden Jubilee President P Bowmick and Golden Jubilee Chairman R V Rajan, the celebrations included executing 50 different projects, annadhaanam, to building a science lab in a school.
PRIP Rtn Wilfrid J. Wilkinson, Ann Joan (Hogan) Wilkinson and RIP Nominee 2011-12 Rtn RIPN Kalyan Banerjee were the guests of honour at the Golden Jubilee inauguration function.

Diamond Jubilee Year
Our Diamond Jubilee year 2019-2020 is yet another milestone of our Club. The glittering Diamond Jubilee ceremony under the leadership of Club President Rtn. M C Srikanth and Diamond Jubilee Chairman Rtn. B B Vengatesh was held on 29 February 2020 at Hyatt Regency, Chennai. PRIP Rtn. K R Ravindran was the Chief guest. 10 international guests from Rotary Clubs in Austria, Netherlands and USA joined the celebration. The Club did 60 community service projects to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.
